List of Actually Funny Parody Films Made Since 2000

The downward spiral of spoof films after Millennium can be much accounted for by the flood of spoof movies having the word "movie" in their titles. Especially Friedberg & Seltzer duo are responsible but also David Zucker has much to answer for. Here are some parody films that are actually enjoyable and watchable made in this millennium.


Black Dynamite (2009)

Rowan Atkinson (of Mr. Bean fame) parodying secret agent films, especially James Bond.

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Terry Pratchett's Hogfather (2006), The Colour of Magic (2008), Going Postal (2010)
In his Discworld-novels Pratchett parodies pretty much everything. Some of the books have been made into TV movies. Hogfather parodies Christmas stories, The Colour of Magic parodies fantasy and hero tales and Going Postal parodies business thrillers.
