Joe Dirt title
Joe Dirt (David Spade) is a Def Leppard & Skynyrd-listening redneck doing career as a janitor of a radio station. One day his mighty mullet makes an impression on producer Freddy (Fred Wolf) and Joe is introduced to radio host Zander Kelly (Dennis Miller). Loud mouth Zander wants to interview a real representative of white trash. Joe tells his life story. When he was just a kid (Erik Per Sullivan) he was separated from his family. Fostered by strange people he finally escaped from juvenile detention center. One day he found a meteorite. It was not really a meteorite but something else (don't ask).

Then he met nice girl named Brandy (Brittany Daniel) and her dog. After spending some years in the ranch, he leaves to search for his family. He does various jobs. In desert Joe meets an Indian fireworks merchant Kicking Wind (Adam Beach). Joe finds also an atom bomb. It is not really a atom bomb (don't ask). Telling about his adventures makes Joe a popular radio celebrity.

Not everyone likes Joe (Tyler Mane)
On the other hand Joe is a sympathetic character. He is a guy that manages to stay always positive even when the whole world is kicking him in the head. Joe is kind of redneck version of Forrest Gump, or the one that Farrelly-brothers would think out. But on the other hand the script is full of tasteless and gross out jokes that are the bane of many modern American comedies. So there are some funny jokes and a lot of crappy jokes (pun intended). With cleaner humour the movie could have been better, bit in the style of Chevy Chase's or Steve Martin's 1980s classic comedies.
Not a very wise thing to do
Rosanna Arquette as Charlene
Kid Rock as Robby
There are many known actors in small roles for example Christopher Walken, Rosanna Arquette, Joe Don Baker and also Brian Thompson (from X-Files). Also Kid Rock appears as Joe's adversary Robby.
