Fool's Gold title

Their boat sinks in freak accident but something positive happens: they find plate from the galleon. Bad news: the boat was funded by gangster rapper Bigg Bunny (Kevin Hart) who now wants his money back. And soon Finn finds himself going to the bottom of the ocean with an anchor tied to his leg. He barely avoids the watery grave.

Finn's ex-wife Tess (Kate Hudson) works for millionaire Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland). As Finn is broke Tess gets nothing from the divorce. Finn saves Honeycutt's daughter's Gemma's (Alexis Dziena) hat. Gemma is lovably ditzy socialite. Finn uses the opportunity to tell about the treasure to Nigel who gets interested about treasure hunt. Tess hates the idea first but old flames die hard. But also Bigg Bunny hires old treasure hunter Moe Fitch (Ray Winstone) to search for the lost galleon.

Cheery Caribbean music spices up the summery light adventure romp. The story is quite traditional stuff but enjoyable with funny characters. Sometimes it is just enough to see traditional treasure hunting genre being updated. Somewhere it has been called a rip-off of "Uncharted" video game but "Uncharted" itself was a homage of various adventure stories. The story of "Fool's Gold" is more directed towards romantic comedy than action. The island sceneries are pretty and  McConaughey and Hudson have nice chemistry.

One of Bunny's henchmen is Theo Huxtable from "The Cosby Show":
